Smithfield Station Fishing Tournament
Join us on Saturday, July 18, 2026, for the 1st Annual Smithfield Station Fishing Tournament, a day of fishing, friendly competition, and waterfront fun on the beautiful waters of Coastal Virginia. Gather your crew and compete for cash prizes across four exciting categories: Puppy Drum, Croaker, Cobia, and Catfish, while also taking your shot at landing the tournament’s largest fish and claiming the coveted “Call All The Villagers” Award along with a $1,000 grand prize.
The weekend begins with a Captain’s Meeting and Kickoff Party on Friday, July 17, at 7:00 PM on the Smithfield Station Boardwalk, featuring tournament announcements, rules review, keg beer specials, light hors d’oeuvres, and an opportunity to meet fellow anglers before heading out on the water. On tournament day, lines go in at sunrise and must be out by 3:30 PM, with all fish weighed by 5:00 PM. Fish may be brought to the official weigh-in by either boat or vehicle.
Awards will be presented for 1st and 2nd place in each category, with winners receiving $500 for 1st Place and $250 for 2nd Place. Young anglers will also have the opportunity to compete for special Youth Angler gift card prizes. Entry is $150 per boat and includes up to four anglers, with additional anglers welcome for $60 each and youth anglers (17 and under) for $30 each. All participants must possess a valid Virginia fishing license.
Whether you’re a serious competitor chasing prize money or simply looking for a great day on the water with family and friends, the inaugural Smithfield Station Fishing Tournament promises a memorable weekend of fishing, camaraderie, and waterfront hospitality.
